I was obsessed with the Statue of Liberty when I was 3 and 4. I used to stand on a bar stool, holding a yellow marker for a torch and a foam block for the tablet. I painted a few paintings of her. Here are a couple, below. The first painted when I was 3 – a pretty good match, Momma says. We even made a clay statue of her, so I could have my own statue.

I can see why you like the Statue of Liberty so much. She is an amazing statue that welcomes so many to America, and she’s fun to paint! Your small clay statue is lovely. I hope she continues to inspire you.
